The Nursing professional before the process of death and dying of the patient in the end of life

Resumo: | Death and dying are inevitable events and their possibilities can be present from birth to old age. However, nursing professionals have limitations to provide the necessary assistance to patients in the final stage of life and their families. The goal is to know, through scientific productions, the performance of nursing professionals before the patient in the final stage of life in the process of dying and dying. This is a narrative review in which the search for articles was carried out in April 2020 through access to the Virtual Health Library. The results obtained were discussed through categories: the ethical dilemmas regarding the death and dying process; spirituality and feelings experienced by the nursing team; and nursing skills and care in the final stage of life. It is considered that the adversities experienced by nursing professionals can be overcome based on spirituality and by the introduction of discussions on the topic still in the training process, through the understanding and acceptance of the finitude of life and the introduction of care palliative care for patients out of the possibility of cure and who will inevitably evolve to end-of-life care. |

Sin embargo, los profesionales de enfermería tienen limitaciones para proporcionar la asistencia necesaria a los pacientes en la etapa final de la vida y sus familias. El objetivo es conocer, a través de producciones científicas, el desempeño de los profesionales de enfermería antes del paciente en la etapa final de la vida en el proceso de morir y morir. Esta es una revisión narrativa en la que la búsqueda de artículos se realizó en abril de 2020 a través del acceso a la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud. Los resultados obtenidos se discutieron a través de categorías: los dilemas éticos sobre proceso de muerte y muerte; espiritualidad y sentimientos experimentados por el equipo de enfermería; y habilidades y cuidados de enfermería en la etapa final de la vida. Se considera que las adversidades experimentadas por los profesionales de enfermería pueden superarse con base en la espiritualidad y mediante la introducción de discusiones sobre el tema aún en el proceso de capacitación, a través de la comprensión y aceptación de la finitud de la vida y la introducción de la atención a cuidados paliativos para pacientes fuera de la posibilidad de cura y que inevitablemente evolucionarán a cuidados al final de la vida.A morte e o morrer são eventos inevitáveis e suas possibilidades podem estar presentes desde o nascimento à velhice. Porém, os profissionais de enfermagem apresentam limitações para exercer a assistência necessária ao paciente em fase final de vida e seus familiares. Possui como objetivo conhecer, por meio das produções científicas, a atuação do profissional de enfermagem diante do doente em fase final de vida no processo de morte e morrer. Trata-se de uma revisão narrativa em que os levantamentos de busca dos artigos foram realizados em abril de 2020 por meio do acesso à Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde. Os resultados obtidos foram discutidos por meio de categorias: os dilemas éticos face ao processo de morte e morrer; espiritualidade e sentimentos vivenciados pela equipe de enfermagem; e competências e cuidados de enfermagem na fase final de vida.
