Integrative review: palliative care in oncological patients

Resumo: Palliative care is offered to patients with no chance of cure to have a higher quality of life until their death arrives. Nursing is a field of health that has been growing gradually in recent years and improving with regard to palliative cancer care, generating new comfort techniques for the patient. Therefore, the objective was to know the palliative care used in cancer patients provided by the nursing staff through an integrative review, whose data were collected by the Scielo database from 2009 to 2019, with the following descriptors: Palliative Care, Cancer and nursing care. Data were analyzed through Content Analysis. It was founded 20 articles on the subject and this study included 8 articles. As an innovative approach, palliative care brings its importance within the care provided to hospitalized patients and the need for knowledge of the professional nurse and their training about humanized care. It was observed that palliative care when practiced by the nurse is given greater comfort and pain relief to the patient. There was a deficit in training during the graduation of the professional nurse.

La enfermería es un campo de la salud que ha ido creciendo gradualmente en los últimos años y ha mejorado con respecto a los cuidados paliativos para el cáncer, generando nuevas técnicas de confort para el paciente. Por lo tanto, el objetivo era conocer los cuidados paliativos utilizados en pacientes con cáncer proporcionados por el personal de enfermería a través de una revisión integradora, cuyos datos fueron recopilados por la base de datos Scielo de 2009 a 2019, con los siguientes descriptores: Cuidados paliativos, cáncer y cuidados de enfermería. Los datos fueron analizados a través del análisis de contenido. Encontramos 20 artículos sobre el tema y este estudio incluyó 8 artículos. Como enfoque innovador, los cuidados paliativos aportan su importancia dentro de la atención brindada a los pacientes hospitalizados y la necesidad de conocimiento de la enfermera profesional y su capacitación sobre la atención humanizada. Se observó que los cuidados paliativos, cuando son practicados por la enfermera, brindan mayor comodidad y alivio del dolor al paciente. Hubo un déficit en la capacitación durante la graduación de la enferm profesional.Os cuidados paliativos são oferecidos para pacientes sem chance de cura terem maior qualidade de vida até a chegada de sua morte. A enfermagem é um campo da saúde que está crescendo gradativamente nos últimos anos e se aperfeiçoando no que se trata de cuidados paliativos oncológicos, gerando novas técnicas de conforto para o doente. Por isso, objetivou-se conhecer os cuidados paliativos utilizados em pacientes oncológicos prestados pela equipe de enfermagem através de uma revisão integrativa, cujos dados foram coletados pela base de dados Scielo dos anos de 2009 a 2019, com os seguintes descritores: Cuidados Paliativos, oncológicas e Cuidados de enfermagem. Os dados foram analisados por meio da Análise de Conteúdo. Foram encontrados 20 artigos sobre a temática e neste estudo incluiu-se oito artigos. Como uma abordagem inovadora os cuidados paliativos trazem sua importância dentro dos cuidados prestados aos pacientes hospitalizados e necessidade de conhecimento do profissional enfermeiro e sua formação acerca dos cuidados humanizados. Observou-se que o cuidado paliativo quando praticado pelo enfermeiro é dado maior conforto e alivio da dor ao paciente.
