Simulation of the synergy of atmospheric emissions from the cement pole of the south coast of Paraíba on the city of Alhandra-PB

Resumo: | Atmospheric emissions of particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxides (NOx), typically emitted in the cement industry, have been generating great interest on the part of these industries in quantifying the air quality in the vicinity of their emission sources. Thus, the present work aims to simulate the synergy of atmospheric emissions from the cement factories located on the south coast of Paraíba over the city of Alhandra-PB, seeking to measure the amount of polluting load on the receiver, through modeling of the gaseous compounds emitted from the point source taken as the major contributor (clinker rotary blast furnace). For this purpose, the AID software (Instant Dispersion Assessment) based on the Gauss model was used to determine the concentrations in the air resulting from these emissions. In this determination, the main meteorological parameters from 2015 to 2016 and emission kinetics necessary for modeling were addressed. The maximum concentration of PM and NOx obtained after the modeling was respectively 0.0014 μg/m³ and 0.0027 μg/m³, being well below the primary and secondary air quality limits according to CONAMA 03/90. In the case evaluated, the estimated concentration does not present health risks to the exposed population, since, given the value obtained, it cannot be perceived. |

Así, el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo simular la sinergia de las emisiones atmosféricas de las fábricas de cemento ubicadas en la costa sur de Paraíba sobre la ciudad de Alhandra-PB, buscando medir la cantidad de carga contaminante en el receptor, a través de la modelización de los compuestos gaseosos. emitidos desde la fuente puntual considerada como la principal contribuyente (alto horno rotatorio de clínker). Para ello se utilizó el software AID (Instant Dispersion Assessment) basado en el modelo de Gauss para determinar las concentraciones en el aire resultantes de estas emisiones. En esta determinación se abordaron los principales parámetros meteorológicos del 2015 al 2016 y las cinéticas de emisión necesarias para la modelación. La concentración máxima de PM y NOx obtenida después de la modelación fue respectivamente 0,0014 μg/m³ y 0,0027 μg/m³, estando muy por debajo de los límites de calidad del aire primario y secundario según CONAMA 03/90. En el caso evaluado, la concentración estimada no presenta riesgos para la salud de la población expuesta, ya que, dado el valor obtenido, no puede ser percibida.As emissões atmosféricas material particulado (MP) e óxidos de nitrogênio (NOx), tipicamente emitidos na indústria cimenteira, vem sendo, tem gerado grande interesse por parte dessas indústrias em quantificar a qualidade do ar nas proximidades de suas fontes emissoras. Desse modo, o presente trabalho tem por objetivo simular a sinergia das emissões atmosféricas provenientes das fábricas de cimento localizado no litoral sul da Paraíba sobre a cidade de Alhandra-PB, buscando mensurar a quantidade de carga poluidora sobre o receptor, por meio de modelagem dos compostos gasosos emitidos a partir da fonte pontual tomada como maior contribuidor (alto-forno rotativo clínquer). Para tanto foi utilizado o software AID (Avaliação Instantânea de Dispersão) baseado no modelo de Gauss para determinação das concentrações no ar resultantes dessas emissões. Nessa determinação, foram abordados os principais parâmetros meteorológicos de 2015 a 2016 e cinéticos de emissão necessários à modelagem. A máxima concentração de MP e NOx obtida após a modelagem foi respectivamente 0,0014 μg/m³ e 0,0027 μg/m³, ficando bastante abaixo dos limites primários e secundários de qualidade do ar de acordo com a CONAMA 03/90.
