The inclusion of content about gender identity at school: A standpoint from notions on knowledge

Resumo: The issue of inserting content on gender identity in Brazilian schools has entered the agendas of different social groups in recent years, having parts of society classifying it as ideological. In this paper we aim to present one perception to understand the issue departing from notions on knowledge. In this way, we show a basis of what can be called the ideological and thus far we approach what is proposed on the question of gender identity in educational contents. We conclude by not defending a position, however, indicating the legitimacy of such defenses, provided that the discussion isn´t based on the argument of "ideological content".

El objetivo de este artículo es situar una percepción de la práctica académica / científica a la que se puede recurrir para lidiar con la discusión sobre la naturaleza ideológica de la noción de identidad de género. Se muestra de esa manera una base sobre lo que puede llamarse ideológico y se aborda lo que se ha propuesto en relación a la cuestión de la identidad de género en torno a contenidos educativos. Se concluye por no defender una posición, sin embargo, indicando la legitimidad de tales defensas, siempre que el embate no se trabaje a partir de la argumentación de "contenido ideológico".A inserção de conteúdos sobre identidade de gênero nas escolas entrou nas agendas de diferentes grupos sociais nos últimos anos, com posições de ataque a tais iniciativas classificando-as como ideológicas. O objetivo deste artigo é situar uma percepção da prática acadêmico/científica a qual se pode recorrer para lidar com a discussão sobre a natureza ideológica da noção de identidade de gênero. Mostra-se, dessa maneira, uma base sobre o que pode ser chamado de ideológico e aborda-se o que se tem proposto em relação à questão da identidade de gênero em torno de conteúdos educacionais.
