Educational technology in pediatric intensive care unit: construction of nursing routine scans

Resumo: Objective of the study was to build a manual of nursing routines for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Methodological research, carried out from May to September 2021 and focused on the construction of an Educational Technology to be used to assist Permanent Health Education for the nursing team working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. For this, four steps were carried out, namely: bibliographic survey, content selection, textual elaboration and diagramming. The study resulted in the elaboration of a manual entitled “Guide for PED ICUs”, which highlights topics on Anamnesis and Physical Examination; Vital Signs Parameterization; Neurological Assessment; Insertion of Nasogastric/Nasoenteric Tube; Insertion of Indwelling Bladder Catheter; Invasive Blood Pressure; Intra-Abdominal Pressure; and Central Venous Pressure. It is concluded that, as it is a low-cost tool, it is expected that this technology can assist in the correct conduct of the nursing team in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, with the improvement of the organization of care provided to the patient.

Investigación metodológica, realizada de mayo a septiembre de 2021 y enfocada en la construcción de una Tecnología Educativa para ser utilizada en la asistencia a la Educación Permanente en Salud del equipo de enfermería que actúa en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Pediátricos. Para ello se llevaron a cabo cuatro pasos, a saber: levantamiento bibliográfico, selección de contenidos, elaboración textual y diagramación. El estudio resultó en la elaboración de un manual titulado “Guía para UCI de PED”, que destaca temas sobre Anamnesis y Examen Físico; Parametrización de Signos Vitales; Evaluación Neurológica; Inserción de Sonda Nasogástrica/Nasoentérica; Inserción de catéter vesical permanente; Presión Arterial Invasiva; Presión Intraabdominal; y Presión Venosa Central. Se concluye que, por tratarse de una herramienta de bajo costo, se espera que esta tecnología pueda auxiliar en la correcta actuación del equipo de enfermería en una Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Pediátricos, con la mejora de la organización del cuidado prestado al paciente.Objetivo do estudo foi construir um manual de rotinas de enfermagem para Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Pediátrica. Pesquisa do tipo metodológica, realizada em maio a setembro de 2021 e teve como foco a construção de uma Tecnologia Educacional para ser utilizada para auxiliar a Educação Permanente em Saúde para equipe de enfermagem atuante na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Pediátrica. Para isso, foram realizadas quatro etapas, sendo: levantamento bibliográfico, seleção de conteúdo, elaboração textual e diagramação. O estudo teve como resultado a elaboração de um manual intitulado “Guia para UTI PED”, que destaca temáticas sobre Anamnese e o Exame físico; Parametrização de Sinais Vitais; Avaliação Neurológica; Inserção de Sonda Nasogástrica/Nasoentérica; Inserção de Cateter Vesical de Demora; Pressão Arterial Invasiva; Pressão Intra-Abdominal; e Pressão Venosa Central.
