Resumo: The economic development of the state of Amazonas had its historical process characterized by an economy based on economic cycles, which began with the extraction of natural rubber, until the creation of the model of the Industrial Pole of Manaus - PIM, which remains the most important economic activity developed in the state, exposing the need to diversify its economy. Therefore, the objective of this research is to verify the current situation of some economic activities, in the different sub-regions of Amazonas, identifying their regional vocations, the obstacles that have been hindering their development and their possible solutions to enable the sustainable development of the state. from Amazon. It is an empirical theoretical classification research, with both qualitative and quantitative nature at a descriptive research level. The development of other economic matrices such as the sectors of family agriculture, aquaculture, forest management, tourism, carbon credit, implementation of Ecological-Economic Zoning (ZEE), fertilizer hub and monitoring of water resources, encourages economic growth in the state promoting the increase of GDP and the economy of each municipality, enabling the increase of domestic production and local development. However, the development of these new economic potentials takes time and resources and depends on political goodwill. Therefore, the creation of a government plan aimed at the development of the state of Amazonas is shown at this time of emergency, with actions and services aimed at sustainable development.

Therefore, the creation of a government plan aimed at the development of the state of Amazonas is shown at this time of emergency, with actions and services aimed at sustainable development.
