Validation of Questionnaire on Bilingualism in International Schools: Using the Content Validity Coefficient

Resumo: This study aims to validate the content of the qualitative research instrument on bilingualism in international schools, using the Content Validity Coefficient method used by Hernández-Nieto (2002). Given the restrictions due to existing copyrights mainly in educational franchises, this questionnaire constitutes a source for studies on the internationalization of studies in basic education through the curriculum and methodology of international schools in Brazil. The methodology presents Delphi rounds and application of the Content Validity Coefficient to evaluate the questions and the judges. The questions that make up the questionnaire were evaluated in the questions clarity and pertinence to the theme studied by five specialist professors with master's and doctorate degrees in education working in basic education in international schools. The results show that the questions obtained a score higher than 0.8 in the two categories analyzed and index per judge free of error of 0.96, confirming the clarity and relevance of the research instrument.

Dadas las restricciones debidas a los derechos de autor existentes principalmente en las franquicias educativas, este cuestionario constituye una fuente de estudios sobre la internacionalización de los estudios en educación básica a través del currículo y la metodología de las escuelas internacionales en Brasil. La metodología presenta rondas Delphi y aplicación del Coeficiente de Validez de Contenido para evaluar las preguntas y los jueces. Las preguntas que componen el cuestionario fueron evaluadas en las preguntas de claridad y pertinencia al tema estudiado por cinco profesores especialistas con maestrías y doctorados en educación que trabajan en educación básica en escuelas internacionales. Los resultados muestran que las preguntas obtuvieron una puntuación superior a 0,8 en las dos categorías analizadas e índice por juez libre de error de 0,96, confirmando la claridad y relevancia del instrumento de investigación.Este estudo tem como objetivo validar o conteúdo do instrumento de pesquisa qualitativa sobre Bilinguismo em escolas internacionais, utilizando o método de Coeficiente de Validade de Conteúdo utilizado por Hernández-Nieto (2002). Diante das restrições por conta de direitos autorais existentes, principalmente em franquias educacionais, este questionário constitui-se em uma fonte para estudos sobre internacionalização dos estudos na Educação Básica através do currículo e da metodologia de escolas internacionais, no Brasil. A metodologia apresenta rodadas “Delphi” e aplicação do Coeficiente de Validade de conteúdo para validar as perguntas e os juízes. As perguntas que compõem o questionário foram avaliadas por cinco professores especialistas, com Mestrado e Doutorado em Educação, nos quesitos clareza e pertinência ao tema estudado. Tais professores são profissionais atuantes na Educação Básica, em escolas internacionais.
