Permanent education process in the daily routine of primary health care

Resumo: The objective of this study is to demonstrate how permanent health education has been developing within the daily routine of primary health care in a municipality in Pará-Brazil. This is a single holistic, explanatory, descriptive case of study with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through a focused interview with 43 health professionals. For the analysis, we used an analytical grounded theory procedure. From this analysis emerged the category of Permanent Health Education Process experienced in daily work and the Demands subcategories of actions to be developed; Elaboration of the Permanent Health Education Project; Development of Permanent Health Education actions; and Evaluation of Permanent Education in Health actions. The development of permanent education is within  the implementation phase, a vertical and centralized management process has become evident, with a predominance of traditional educational processes, information transfer, and a restricted critical reflection process of reality.

Se trata de un estudio de caso único holístico, explicativo, descriptivo, con enfoque cualitativo. La recopilación de datos fue realizada a través de una entrevista enfocada en 43 profesionales de la salud. Para el análisis se utilizó el procedimiento analítico de teoría fundamentada en los datos. Del análisis surgió la categoría: Proceso de Educación Permanente en Salud vivenciado en el cotidiano del trabajo y sus subcategorías Demandas de las acciones a desarrollar; Elaboración del Proyecto de Educación Permanente en Salud; Desarrollo de las acciones de Educación Permanente en Salud; y Evaluación de las acciones de Educación Permanente en Salud. El desarrollo de la educación permanente está en fase de implementación, se ha evidenciado un proceso vertical y centralizador de la gestión, con predominio de procesos educativos tradicionales, de transferencia de información y un proceso restricto de reflexión crítica de la realidad.O objetivo deste estudo é desvelar como a educação permanente em saúde vem sendo desenvolvida no cotidiano do trabalho da atenção básica de um município do Estado do Pará, Brasil. Trata-se de estudo de caso único holístico, explanatório, descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa. A coleta de dados foi através de entrevista focada com 43 profissionais de saúde. Para a análise utilizou-se o procedimento analítico da Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados. Da análise emergiu a categoria Processo de Educação Permanente em Saúde vivenciado no cotidiano do trabalho, e as subcategorias: Demandas das ações a serem desenvolvidas; Elaboração do Projeto de Educação Permanente em Saúde; Desenvolvimento das ações de Educação Permanente em Saúde; e Avaliação das ações de Educação Permanente em Saúde.
