Resumo:  Medicinal plants with antimicrobial potencial marketed by rooters in a public market in the city of Maceió - AL. The habit of using medicinal plants is obtaining place or space, and every day natural medicines are being valued more in the current market. This study objective was to know lots of plants indicated by the raizeiros with antimicrobial action. Research by census of descriptive nature, with quantitative approach, that was done through the ethnobotanical and pharmacological knowledge of traders of medicinal plants in the flea market. The research was clarified to the raizeiros and those who agreed to participate signed the Informed Consent Form (ICF), as well as answering a pre-established questionnaire containing questions about the knowledge of the use of medicinal plants with antimicrobial activity to fight against infections. Raizeiros that were between twenty and sixty years old, being traders of plants with 5 months to 35 years in the labor market. Fifty medicinal plants were cited, but 27 species in 21 botanical families were important for the study cited by the raizeiros; 5 vegetables were highlighted:  aroeira, barbatimão, mastruz, sambacaita and yellow uchi. With the advancement of information and communication technology, many people are still looking for natural ways to treat and their possible cure of illnesses.

El estudio tuvo como objetivo conocer las diferentes plantas indicadas por curanderos con acción antimicrobiana. Investigación censal descriptiva con enfoque cuantitativo, se recolectaron datos sobre el conocimiento etnobotánico y farmacológico de los comerciantes de plantas medicinales en el mercado ambulante. La investigación fue aclarada a los curanderos, y quienes aceptaron participar firmaron el Término de Consentimiento Libre e Informado (TCLE), así como respondieron un cuestionario preestablecido, que contenía preguntas sobre el conocimiento del uso de plantas medicinales con actividad antimicrobiana como así como en la lucha contra las infecciones. Árboles de raíz que tenían entre veinte y sesenta años de edad, siendo comerciantes de plantas con 5 meses a 35 años en el mercado laboral. Se citaron 50 plantas medicinales, sin embargo, 27 especies en 21 familias botánicas fueron importantes para el estudio citado por los curanderos; Se destacaron 5 vegetales y son: lentisco, barbatimão, mastruz, sambacaitá y uchi Amarelo. Con el avance de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación, muchas personas siguen buscando medios naturales para el tratamiento y posible cura de sus enfermedades. O costume de utilizar plantas medicinais vem ganhando espaço, e a cada dia os medicamentos naturais estão sendo mais valorizados no mercado atual. O estudo teve como objetivo conhecer as variadas plantas indicadas pelos raizeiros com ação antimicrobiana. Pesquisa censitária de cunho descritivo com abordagem quantitativa, foi feito o levantamento de dados sobre o conhecimento etnobotânico e farmacológico dos comerciantes de plantas medicinais da feira livre. Ocorreu o esclarecimento da pesquisa aos raizeiros, e os que aceitaram participar assinaram o Termo de Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido (TCLE), como também responderam a um questionário pré-estabelecido, contendo questões sobre o conhecimento da utilização das plantas medicinais com atividade antimicrobiana bem como no combate a infecções. Raizeiros que tinham entre vinte a sessenta anos de idade, sendo comerciantes de plantas com 5 meses a 35 anos no mercado de trabalho. Foram citadas 50 plantas medicinais, porém, 27 espécies em 21 famílias botânicas tiveram importância para o estudo citadas pelos raizeiros; 5 vegetais alcançaram destaque e são: a aroeira, o barbatimão, o mastruz, o sambacaitá e o uchi amarelo.
