Revisiting of the working context assessment scale

Resumo: The assessment of the work context of large populations can provide a diagnosis of strategic value for organizations. In this context, this study proposes a revisiting of the work context assessment scale (EACT) of Psychodynamics of Work, according to the model proposed by Mendes (2007). As a justification for the study, it was found that (i) the need to proceed with the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (AFC) of the instrument; (ii) transformation of the variables in the positive direction, as well as (iii) inclusion of a new variable in the scale. Methodologically, 202 responses were received through the Google Forms platform, which were transported to the SPSS software, version 23. In turn, the AMOS software, version 20, was used in the operationalization of the AFC. The methodological procedures followed the models proposed by Costa (2011) for validation and measurement of scales. The results demonstrated a reduction in the number of items, as well as an increase in the level of reliability in all factors that make up the scale. Finally, it is suggested the inclusion of questions for the characterization of the sample, as well as the application of the instrument in different contexts to attest its adaptability.

En este contexto, este estudio propone una revisión de la escala de evaluación del contexto laboral (EACT) de Psicodinámica del Trabajo, de acuerdo con el modelo propuesto por Mendes (2007). Como justificación para el estudio, se encontró que (i) la necesidad de proceder con el Análisis Factorial Confirmatorio (AFC) del instrumento; (ii) transformación de las variables en la dirección positiva, así como (iii) inclusión de una nueva variable en la escala. Metodológicamente, se recibieron 202 respuestas a través de la plataforma Google Forms, que se transportaron al software SPSS, versión 23. A su vez, el software AMOS, versión 20, se utilizó en la operacionalización de la AFC. Los procedimientos metodológicos siguieron los modelos propuestos por Costa (2011) para la validación y medición de escalas. Los resultados demostraron una reducción en el número de elementos, así como un aumento en el nivel de confiabilidad en todos los factores que componen la escala. Finalmente, se sugiere la inclusión de preguntas para la caracterización de la muestra, así como la aplicación del instrumento en diferentes contextos para atestiguar su adaptabilidad.A avaliação do contexto de trabalho de grandes populações pode proporcionar um diagnóstico de valor estratégico para organizações. Nesse contexto, este estudo propõe uma revisiting da escala de avaliação do contexto de trabalho (EACT) da Psicodinâmica do Trabalho, conforme modelo proposto por Mendes (2007). Como justificativa para o estudo, verificou-se a (i) necessidade de proceder com a Análise Fatorial Confirmatória (AFC) do instrumento; (ii) transformação das variáveis para o sentido positivo, bem como (iii) inclusão de uma nova variável na escala. Metodologicamente, receberam-se 202 respostas por meio da plataforma Google Forms, que foram sumarizadas para o software SPSS, versão 23. Por sua vez, o software AMOS, versão 20, foi utilizado na operacionalização da AFC. Os procedimentos metodológicos seguiram os moldes propostos por Costa (2011) para validação e mensuração de escalas. Os resultados demonstraram uma redução na quantidade de itens, bem como uma elevação no nível de confiabilidade em todos os fatores que compõem a escala.
