Mental health approaches in people with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder: an integrative review

Resumo: Objective: to gather and analyze the main findings of the literature related to ADHD and to identify the clinical management adopted by the team responsible for the care of the individual with ADHD. Methodology: The present study is an integrative literature review that brings together studies published in the Virtual Health Library and in the PubMed/MEDLINE and LILACS databases. Results: Among the 196 articles found, after the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 8 were selected for analysis and discussion. Two nuclei of meaning were identified: the relevance of previous diagnosis and psychotherapy and the difficulties in the clinical management of ADHD. Conclusion: The analysis of the studies allowed us to understand the importance of complementary training of primary health professionals in the field of psychiatry, with an emphasis on providing care to people with mental disorders and their different degrees of complexity, and from a wide variety of research on the subject. ADHD and nursing, aiming to contribute to the education and training of this class.

Metodología: El presente estudio es una revisión de literatura integradora que reúne estudios publicados en la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud y en las bases de datos PubMed/MEDLINE y LILACS. Resultados: Entre los 196 artículos encontrados, después de los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, 8 fueron seleccionados para su análisis y discusión. Se identificaron dos núcleos de significado: la relevancia del diagnóstico previo y la psicoterapia y las dificultades en el manejo clínico del TDAH. Conclusión: El análisis de los estudios nos permitió comprender la importancia de la formación complementaria de los profesionales de la salud primaria en el campo de la psiquiatría, con énfasis en brindar atención a las personas con trastornos mentales y sus diferentes grados de complejidad, y de una amplia variedad de investigación sobre el tema. TDAH y enfermería, con el objetivo de contribuir a la educación y capacitación de esta clase.Objetivo: reunir e analisar os principais achados da literatura referentes ao TDAH e identificar o manejo clínico adotado pela equipe responsável pelos cuidados ao indivíduo com TDAH. Metodologia: O presente estudo é uma revisão integrativa da literatura que reúne estudos publicados na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e nos bancos de dados PubMed/MEDLINE e LILACS. Resultados: Dentre os 196 artigos encontrados, após os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, 8 foram selecionados para análise e discussão. Foram identificados dois núcleos de significado: a relevância do diagnóstico prévio e da psicoterapia e as dificuldades no manejo clínico do TDAH.
