Who are the future egresses from a math teacher training course in a public university of the State of Paraná – Brazil

Resumo: This research had as main objective to investigate the profile of students graduated from the Mathematics Degree Course at the State University of Paraná - Unespar, Campus of Campo Mourão. We take as a central axis the following research question: Who are the subjects, who chose to take the math course? A research was based on a qualitative approach. We adopted as methodology some elements of Moraes's (2003) Textual Discursive Analysis. This work was carried out with twelve students from the 3rd and 4th year of the Mathematics Degree Course at the university. The data collection instrument consists of a questionnaire with twenty-three questions. The results indicate that the majority of future graduates are young, studied at a public school, chose the course because they like mathematics, there is a lack of knowledge among the freshmen in relation to the course and there is an intention to pursue a teaching career, however, there are discouragement due to current public policies, among other characteristics.

Tomamos como eje central la siguiente pregunta de investigación: ¿Quiénes son las personas que eligen la formación de profesores de matemáticas? La investigación se basó en un enfoque cualitativo. Adoptamos como metodología algunos elementos del Análisis Textual Discursivo de Moraes (2003). Este trabajo se llevó a cabo con doce alumnos de 3º y 4º curso de la la formación de profesores de matemáticas de dicha universidad. El instrumento de recolección de datos consiste en un cuestionario con veintitrés preguntas. Los resultados indican que la mayoría de los futuros egresados son jóvenes, estudiaron en una escuela pública, eligieron el curso porque les gustan las matemáticas, hay un desconocimiento entre los estudiantes de primer año en relación al curso y hay una intención de seguir una carrera docente, sin embargo, hay un desincentivo por las políticas públicas vigentes, entre otras características.Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo principal investigar o perfil dos alunos graduandos do Curso de Licenciatura em Matemática da Universidade Estadual do Paraná – Unespar, Campus de Campo Mourão. Tomamos como eixo central a seguinte questão de pesquisa: Quem são os sujeitos que optam pelo Curso de Licenciatura em Matemática?  A pesquisa foi pautada em uma abordagem qualitativa. Adotamos como metodologia alguns elementos da Análise Textual Discursiva de Moraes (2003). Este trabalho foi realizado com doze alunos do 3º e 4º ano do Curso de Licenciatura em Matemática da referida universidade. O instrumento de coleta de dados se constitui de um questionário com vinte e três questões.
