Resumo: This article presents the main results of a project conducted between 2011 and 2012 with teachers from a public school in Campo Mourão, Paraná. The purpose of the study was to investigate the role of the teachers participating in the project with regard to women and the family, having as object of study the narratives presented in the classroom and in meetings set to discuss some generational issues, quote: gender, sex and sexuality in school education. Basing on literature (BOURDIEU, 2010; LOURO, 1997, 2007) and the theoretical and methodological assumptions of Gender Studies, we present an overview of woman and family formation throughout history, observations were made in the field of performance of teachers and a study group with the same fortnight. The narratives presented which were allowed to respond on the representations made by family and female teachers of the lower grades of elementary school in the current educational context and, especially, showed that, while acknowledging that the sexual division of labor hierarchical relations between genders, the teachers still legitimize the subordinate position of women.

O intuito do trabalho foi o de investigar as representações das professoras participantes da pesquisa no que diz respeito às mulheres e à família, tendo como objeto de estudo as narrativas apresentadas em sala de aula e nos encontros estabelecidos para discussão de alguns temas geracionais, a citar: gênero, sexo e sexualidade na educação escolar. Fundamentando-se em literatura especializada (BOURDIEU, 2010; LOURO, 1997; 2007) e nos pressupostos teórico-metodológicos dos estudos de gênero, que nos apresentam um panorama sobre as mulheres e a constituição da família ao longo da história, foram realizadas observações no campo de atuação das docentes e um grupo de estudos quinzenal com as mesmas.
