CREATION AND VALIDATION OF AN ASSESSMENT SCALE OF THE TEACHER TUTOR PRACTICE

Resumo: This paper presents the process of construction and validation of a research instrument called Assessment Scale of the Teacher Tutor Practice. It is a Likert attitude scale which was applied in 386 teachers tutors from different institutions of higher education in Brazil. This instrument assesses three aspects relate to the practice of tutors: conceptions about their role, about distance training and functions that they develop in the virtual learning environment. The instrument was submitted a theoretical, semantic and statistical validation. The data obtained were subjected to Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and the final version of the scale consisted of 38 assertive distributed in eight constructs with adequate parameters of reliability, convergent and discriminant validity. The overall quality of the scale was measured by the Goodness-of-Fit (GoF) presented the value 0.9.

Trata-se de uma escala de atitude do tipo Likert que foi aplicada em 386 professores tutores de diferentes instituições de ensino superior do Brasil. O instrumento avalia três aspectos em relação à prática de professores tutores: concepções sobre seu papel, sobre formação a distância e as funções que desenvolvem no ambiente virtual de aprendizagem. A escala passou por validação teórica, semântica e estatística. Os dados obtidos foram submetidos à Análise Fatorial Confirmatória (AFC) e a versão final da escala foi composta por 38 assertivas distribuídas em oito constructos, com adequados parâmetros de confiabilidade, validade convergente e discriminante.
