Policies that have influence in fields of extreme sensitivity, as in the case of Social Assistance, become central in the discussion and understanding of federative coordination and its consequent results. The present study, therefore, aims to rescue and understand the studies that are being developed in relation to federative coordination and its influence in the field of action of Social Assistance. To this end, a theoretical discussion on Federalism and Social Assistance was built, followed by the studies found on federative coordination and Social Assistance during the period from 2013 to 2019. The results indicate that there has been an advance in relation to the financing that is being carried out to formulate and implement social policies, as studies have shown that the results of social policies are in accordance with the amount invested in them, especially when transfers are made from fund to fund. In addition, through the fund-to-fund transfer, there was a decrease in costs, an increase in transparency and an increase in the effectiveness of spending.
