Resumo: This dissertation had as objective to know and to reflect the conception of the teachers about the importance of the school vegetable garden in 17 schools of 10 municipalities close to Lake Itaipu, in the western region of Paraná. The methodology consisted of an exploratory research, preceded by bibliographical research. The research, with a qualitative and quantitative approach, aimed at primary school teachers. The data attested that 41% of the teachers have knowledge about family agriculture and that 93% give significance to the agriculture of organic products; that the main motivations for consuming organic food is health and the environment. 76% of teachers are in favor of using the school garden, and that for 43% the school garden has as main function to produce knowledge about healthy food and care for the environment. 31% of teachers say they have difficulty teaching students about the importance of the school garden, and believe they need improvement courses (training, training). This difficulty encountered by teachers is a result of the lack of technical knowledge on the subject. It was identified with the teachers the need to include the theme in the school curriculum for a better knowledge on the subject and also for a better awareness about the importance of sustainability and healthy eating in schools that, for 81% of the interviewees, should be through of interdisciplinarity. 95% of the interviewees affirm the need to have in schools the development of a project to include the school garden in pedagogical planning. 95% of respondents believe that healthy eating should be addressed in school education and 72% affirm the importance of using foods produced in the school itself on the school feeding menu. It is concluded that the school garden becomes important, because through it is structured an attempt to rescue the relationship of the plantar to harvest. That, in the teachers' view, it is through the school garden that students can better understand the importance of work and relate to nature, questioning the actions of humans that destroy their own source of life.

Submitted by Helena Bejio (helena.bejio@unioeste.br) on 2020-01-31T13:25:38Z No. of bitstreams: 2 Tatiane_Nandi_2019.pdf: 2401548 bytes, checksum: 7a8bf776dfd7dd20450a0a313f447c4c (MD5) license_rdf: 0 bytes, checksum: d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2020-01-31T13:25:38Z (GMT).
