Adoção fraudulenta de crianças entre Paraguai e Brasil: tráfico de pessoas existe?

The objective of this study is to describe the cross-border dynamics in view of the different forms of social and cultural organization in the context of the border between Brazil and Paraguay, in order to develop its focus of analysis regarding the temporality and spatiality of the legal phenomenon regarding illegal adoption, with characterization of international trafficking of foreign children to Brazil. The research is qualitative and analytical descriptive, under the form of case study, pre-ordered to assess the role of legal and social organizations in local policies facing the crime of child trafficking for adoption purposes. The problem is recognized by the competent authorities because, according to data from the Federal Police and Center for Combating Trafficking in Paraná People – NETEP-PR, believes that there is a hidden number“” in relation to the occurrence of the crime, in the face of several reports and news reporting on the existence of the crime at several points of the border in Foz do Iguaçu. The case study is dedicated to reports of cases involving couples that were included in the official adoption records that, sought infants in Paraguay, neighboring country, to carry out the parental desire. The expected contribution of the research is to sensitize the organs of protection to the child and to contribute to clarify the phenomenon of trafficking of children and adolescents with the purpose of adoption, through irregular or fraudulent expedients, on the triple border of Paraná, involving Brazil and Paraguay.
