Marajoara fight and memory: “forgotten” practices in physical education school in Soure-Marajó

Resumo: This paper aims to discuss memory and forgetfulness about the treatment with the knowledge of the fight marajoara in the context of Physical Education classes in the municipality of Soure-Marajó. Field research was carried out with nine teachers working in schools in this municipality. A semi-structured questionnaire was used for interviews with teachers of physical education and content analysis was done as a method to analyze data obtained. The results revealed that most teachers do not deal with the knowledge of the Marajoara fight in their classes. However, the finding did not follow the line of culpability of teachers, but emphasized in greater order as issues related to social memory, historical forgetting and alienation of work. It concludes the importance of culturally rescuing the Marajoara fight as local and global knowledge to flourish its heuristic value in the pedagogical treatment in physical education classes.

Realizou-se pesquisa de campo com nove professores atuantes em escolas desse município. Utilizou-se questionário semiestruturado para entrevistas com professores da disciplina Educação Física e fez-se análise de conteúdo como método para analisar dados obtidos. Os resultados revelaram que a maioria dos docentes não trata o conhecimento da luta marajoara em suas aulas. Todavia, a constatação não seguiu a linha de culpabilização didática dos professores, mas colocou acento em ordem maior como questões relativas à memória social, ao esquecimento histórico e à alienação do trabalho.
