Environmental sustainability and civil construction waste (RCC): mapping of illegal RCC disposal in the municipality of Ijuí/RS

Resumo: Abstract: Civil construction is one of the fundamental sectors for the economic and social development of a city, however, it is still responsible for a significant illegal disposal of materials. Environmental sustainability in civil construction is reflected when conscientious and appropriate consumption and disposal is carried out in the most diverse stages of the work, since a construction concerned with the maintenance of the environment adopts a set of practices that must be carried out throughout its operations. stages of conception, finalization and correct disposal of its residues, thus guaranteeing efficiency and quality and, consequently, minimization of environmental impacts. The methodology used, through the procedures, is structured by a bibliographic review, documentary research and case study. In this context, the present research aims to reflect on urban environmental sustainability, or lack thereof, in the light of civil construction, bringing a mapping with the demarcations of places of illegal dumping of RCC. It could be seen that the illegal disposal of construction waste (RCC) in public places and in vacant lots is a fact that is very present in Ijuiense society, given that thirteen (13) disposal points were located throughout the city, with the most diverse discarded materials.

La sostenibilidad ambiental en la construcción civil se refleja cuando se realiza un consumo consciente y adecuado en las más diversas etapas de la obra, ya que una construcción preocupada por el mantenimiento del medio ambiente adopta un conjunto de prácticas que debe realizar a lo largo de sus fases de diseño, finalización y destino de sus residuos, garantizando así la eficiencia y la calidad y, en consecuencia, la minimización de los impactos ambientales. La metodología utilizada, a través de los procedimientos, está estructurada por una revisión bibliográfica, investigación documental, estudio de caso y levantamiento de campo. En este contexto, esta investigación tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre la sostenibilidad ambiental urbana, o la falta de ella, a la luz de la construcción civil, trayendo un mapeo con demarcaciones de lugares de depósito ilegal de residuos de construcción civil (RCC) junto a la trama urbana de Ijuí/RS. Se pudo apreciar que el depósito ilegal de RCCs en lugares públicos y baldíos es un hecho muy presente en la sociedad ijuiense, ya que se ubicaron trece (13) puntos de disposición inapropiados a lo largo de la ciudad, poseyendo los más diversos materiales provenientes de la obra civil.A construção civil é um dos setores fundamentais para o desenvolvimento econômico e social dos territórios, porém, ainda é responsável por um expressivo descarte ilegal de materiais. A sustentabilidade ambiental na construção civil traduz-se quando se faz o consumo consciente e adequado nas mais diversas etapas da obra. Uma construção preocupada com a manutenção do meio ambiente adota um conjunto de práticas que devem ser efetivadas durante toda às suas fases (concepção, finalização e destinação de seus resíduos), garantindo assim, eficiência e qualidade no processo e, consequentemente, a minimização dos impactos ambientais. A metodologia utilizada, através dos procedimentos, estrutura-se por uma revisão bibliográfica, pesquisa documental, estudo de caso e levantamento de campo. Nesse contexto, a presente pesquisa tem como objetivo refletir sobre a sustentabilidade ambiental urbana, ou falta dela, à luz da construção civil, trazendo um mapeamento com demarcações de locais de deposito ilegal de resíduos da construção civil (RCC) junto à malha urbana de Ijuí/RS. Pôde-se constatar que a deposição ilegal de RCC’s em locais públicos e terrenos baldios é um fato bastante presente na sociedade ijuiense, haja vista, que foram localizados treze (13) pontos inadequados de descartes ao longo da cidade possuindo os mais diversos materiais oriundos de obras civis.
