Resumo: Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar e identificar de que forma a logística reversa atua no descarte dos resíduos de duas redes farmacêuticas localizadas na cidade de Santana do Livramento, RS. O embasamento teórico discute a definição de logística, logística reversa e seus principais elementos, descarte incorreto e seus efeitos no meio ambiente. Para tal, emprega-se uma pesquisa qualitativa, a partir de dados coletados por meio de uma entrevista estruturada com os gestores e os farmacêuticos das respectivas redes e análise documental. A análise dos dados é realizada por meio da análise de conteúdo. A pesquisa sugere que a logística reversa pode efetivamente atuar como gerador de vantagem competitiva no setor farmacêutico.

Theoretical background discusses the definition of logistics, reverse logistics and its main elements, incorrect disposal and its effects on the environment. For that, a qualitative research is used, based on data collected through a structured interview with the managers and pharmacists of the respective networks and documental analysis. Data analysis is performed through content analysis.The research suggests that reverse logistics can effectively act as a generator of competitive advantage in the pharmaceutical sector.
