Resumo: The article objective is to investigate Eletrobrás' corporate governance and compliance practices, based on the agency theory. Therefore, a qualitative research was carried out, using the Delphi method, with 13 experts who answered the questionnaire that sought to investigate the relationship between the company's performance and best corporate governance practices arising from the application of Law 13.303/2016. The results show that, despite the late implementation of governance, there was an increase in the participation of independent directors in the composition of the Board, generating an increase in the transparency and professionalization of decisions and a reduction in the power concentration.

Para ello, se realizó una investigación cualitativa, utilizando el método Delphi, con 13 expertos que respondieron el cuestionario que buscaba indagar en la relación entre el desempeño de la empresa y las mejores prácticas de gobierno corporativo derivadas de la aplicación de la Ley 13.303 / 2016. Los resultados muestran que, a pesar de la tardía implementación del gobierno, hubo un incremento en la participación de consejeros independientes en el Directorio, generando un incremento en la transparencia y profesionalización de las decisiones y una reducción en la concentración de poder.O objetivo do artigo é investigar as práticas de governança corporativa e compliance da Eletrobrás, se apoiando em conceitos da teoria da agência. Para tanto, foi realizada pesquisa qualitativa, utilizando o método Delphi com 13 especialistas que responderam ao questionário que buscou investigar a relação entre a performance da companhia e melhores práticas da governança corporativa decorrentes da aplicação da Lei 13.303/2016.
