Resumo: The objective of this work is to evaluate the productive performance of subway service concessionaires in twelve Brazilian cities using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) methodology. Subway companies with lower input-product ratios and concession areas with greater urban (population) density tend to have higher productive efficiency. It was possible using this methodology to develop a ranking of subway utilities using objective quantitative variables. This ranking allows to identify the concessionaires with greater productive capacity. Mêtro-SP in 2012 and ViaQuatro in 2016 were the companies with the highest relative productivity and the worst performances were CBTU-Maceió in 2012 and CBTU-Fortaleza in 2016.
