We know that, when needed, the use of medicines is essencial for health, however we live in a society that is a roused to an abusive consumption, that creates an accumulation of this remedies. The population do not know how to correctly dispose this compounds, what bring them to do the improperly disposal in toilet sand ordinary thrash, such action may convey to several consequences as environment contamination like in the ground and rivers, and consequently affects the vegetation and the animals. Still haven’t laws or many campaigns that encourage the consumer of these remedies to do the proper disposal. A solution that is showing up in several places for such problematical is the community drugstores, where occur the ring of medicines that aren’t still being used in houses, and so the out sell-buy date are properly disposed and that ones that still are in their sell-buy dates are reused (donated). This paper discuss about the gathering and the reuse of medicines done in Botucatu – SP with the collection done inside UNESP in the “Instituto de Biociências”.
