This study was developed at the Graduate Program in Education of the Faculty of Science and Technology at São Paulo State University, Campus of Presidente Prudente and it is linked to the research line called Formative Processes, Values and Difference. The research was conducted with the main objective to analyze the role of social projects coordinated by the Municipal Social Welfare Secretary of Presidente Prudente, in the lives of adolescents exposed to potential risk contexts, in coordination with the discussions of protective factors and processes of resilience. The relevance of this study is articulated with the scientific production in the field of study on resilience, linking this phenomenon with education. This is a Multiple Case Study, involving structured interviews with five adolescents and their families, and the use of visual methods, particularly through the use of cameras, with subsequent interview about the pictures taken by the adolescents. Five adolescents enrolled in two core Social Project “Criança Cidadã” participated on the study. They were selected through simple random sampling, non-probability and convenience. The data were analyzed using the technique of content analysis, leading us to the construction of categories that emerged from the adolescents’s interviews, in the light of the theoretical studies on resilience carried out by Micahel Ungar, through a socio ecological approach. In the theoretical chapters we chose to adopt a pluralistic view of adolescence, and the defense of a perspective that conceives the social project as a public policy grounded in the notion of social rights.
