Resumo: This work will reflect on the educational experience conducted with students in a class of Youth and Adult Education of the City School Marcelo Schimit in Rio Claro, participating in a University Extension Project promoted by the Department of UNESP Education - Rio Claro, coordinated by Prof. Dra. Débora Cristina Fonseca. This project aims to contribute to reducing the educational deficit through artistic and cultural workshops and nonformal modes of education that encourage participants to hone their world of reading and criticism, in order to find resources to help them overcome learning difficulties. With this in mind, we work inspired by Paulo Freire teacher of philosophy which proposes pedagogies that deal with education as a practice of freedom. Thus we understand the continuity of the educational process as a necessary way to the appropriation of formal knowledge to offer emancipatory possibilities for the poor.

Débora Cristina Fonseca. Este projeto tem como objetivo colaborar para a redução do déficit educacional através de oficinas artístico-culturais e modos não-formais de educação, que incentivem os participantes à aprimorarem sua leitura de mundo e criticidade, a fim de encontrarem recursos que os ajudem a superar as dificuldades de aprendizagem. Nesta perspectiva, atuamos inspirados pela filosofia do professor Paulo Freire que propõe pedagogias que lidem com a educação como prática da liberdade.
