The geomorphological analysis is critical for understanding the phenomena that occur in relief. This relief, the result of natural processes, currently suffering the influence of anthropological activities, thereby altering the process systems - response. This action results on aggravating as grooves, ravines, and gullies, which develop normally to the extent that native vegetation is degraded. On this way, it accelerates the erosion process significantly with the construction of houses, roads or agricultural activities. Faced with these issues, this project aimed to analyze the geomorphological characteristics of the area drained by the Stream Mãe Preta, located in Parque Mãe Preta neighborhood, in the cityof Rio Claro - SP, studying aspects of the relief in the area to understand the erosive process that originated the gully. In order to achieve this goal there have been prepared slope, horizontal dissection, vertical dissection and land use letters, in order to analyze the gully characteristics and its current state, as well as understand the development of erosive process. Through these cartographic documents and empirical analysis, it was possible to verify that the speed of erosion does not occur homogenously, and to determinate the human activity and natural susceptibility to erosion study area
