Resumo: | The emergence and advancement of Computer-Aided Design (CAD / CAM) enabled the realization of new materials with high precision, such as prefabricated polymer blocks for CAD / CAM. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to evaluate the Knoop (MK) microhardness of pre-fabricated polymer blocks or high-density polymer for CAD / CAM compared to different materials (self-curing acrylic resin, thermo-polymerizable acrylic resin and bisacrylic resin) preparation of temporary restorations after immersion in acid / color solutions in the periods of 7, 14, 28, 90 and 180 days. A total of 160 specimens (10 × 10 × 3 (± 0.005) mm) were prepared, divided into: 40 acrylic polymer thermopolymerizable (RAT), 40 self-curing acrylic resin (RAA), 40 bisacrylic resin (RB) -Manufactured for CAD / CAM (RCAD). The specimens were immersed in artificial saliva (SA), cola refrigerant (CO), coffee (CA) and wine (V). The Knoop microhardness analyzes were performed in 6 periods (0, 7, 14, 28, 90 and 180 days). The Shapiro-Wilk and Levene method were used to test normality and confirm the homogeneity of the data. ANOVA 3 factors for repeated measurements was used to verify the influence of material type, solution and immersion period. The Bonferroni test was used as a posthoc technique. In the analysis of microhardness after 180 days, the RCAD showed the highest values while the RB presented the lowest values. The saliva medium presented the lowest values in all groups analyzed. Thus, it is concluded that the prefabricated polymer blocks for CAD / CAM showed a maintenance of MK values even after 180 days of immersion in different media. In addition, the self-curing acrylic resin and the bisacrylic resin showed the greatest changes in MK values |
