Perspectivas de professores com relação ao ensino do conteúdo esportes nas aulas de Educação Física

Sport, by a cultural manifestation, is a content of school Physical Education and should be taught in school. Thus, their teaching in class must be committed to the access of all students to the body practices resulting from it. However, in situations of Physical Education classes it is still possible to visualize a pedagogical orientation that does not match the school environment, since it has exclusive characteristics, exclusively focused on the biological, involving the selection of few students and the improvement of technical gestures. This may be the result of a process of a initial teacher education that has been anchored in traditional teaching methods, with a mechanistic character, and a lack of continuing education that really mobilizes teachers to think about other possibilities of teaching sports. In this sense, the objective of this work was to identify and analyze teachers perspectives regarding the teaching of sports content within Physical Education classes. For this, ten teachers from the municipal and state public schools in the interior of São Paulo were interviewed, using the semi-structured interview as a collection technique. We can infer that teachers have sought to deconstruct the orientation based on performance sports within the school, in Physical Education classes. In addition, it was possible to identify that there have been changes in teacher training courses, as there is this concern regarding sports at school. The purpose of the classes, related to the teaching of sport itself, moved towards a concern with the values that sports can provide to students.
