Resumo: | This research delineates a historical overview of museums in order to understand the context of creation of Image and Sound Museums, particulary the Campinas Museum of Image and Sound (MIS-Campinas). By pointing to the elements that characterize this museum as an hibrid space, this study case states that polymorphism is precisely a key issue not only in the field of museography but also in museums’ near future. It identifies and analyzes the structural characteristics of MIS-Campinas in the field of Filmclub as well as its educational actions involving different actors of the local educational network. It explores and suggests actions to be developed within and beyond the space of the museum. In addition, it underlines museum’s community approach both in the construction of its memory and in the achievement of a fluid and effective communication with different social actors. By making a comparative analysis with the National Science and Media Museum, Bradford - UK- the research reveals the role of expographics. It finally points out some of the challenges that museums with audiovisual collections have as well as the possibilities that expographic offers to achieve and open and public access to their contents through social networks and their websites. It also suggests that these museums should be understood as a territory of cultural mediation and hence recreate themselves as polymorphic and hybrid spaces with open access to its collections as well as interactive and dialogical collections and exhibits. |

Apontam-se elementos que configuram esta instituição como espaço híbrido e abre-se a discussão sobre o futuro destes espaços, compreendendo a potência da polimorfia no campo museológico. São resgatadas e analisadas as características basilares do MIS de Campinas, no campo do cineclubismo, e o seu papel nas ações educativas, a partir da formação para alunos e profissionais da Rede Municipal de Educação de Campinas. Reflete-se sobre a importância do posicionamento dos museus na atualidade, propondo ações dentro e fora deles, por intermédio de parcerias. Expõe-se também a relevância da sua aproximação com a comunidade, na construção da sua memória e na sua comunicação de maneira efetiva, estabelecendo um diálogo em todas as instâncias da sociedade. Ademais, debate-se o papel de suas expografias, delineando uma análise comparativa com o National Science And Media Museum, de Bradford, Reino Unido. Por fim, abre-se para debate e apontam-se caminhos possíveis para o futuro das instituições que possuem acervos audiovisuais, percebendo a dimensão da construção de expografias interativas, multimídias, democratizando o seu acesso a partir da ampliação deste espaço de difusão, tornando-o um ambiente digital, estendendo a sua atuação nas redes sociais, site e internet.
