INTERLACING MEMORY AND EXPERIENCE IN THE CONSTRUCTION

Resumo: Our article presents preliminary reflections regarding the narrative concepts,experience and memory in Walter Benjamin and some notes on verbal history. In theattempt to apprehend the substratum of the sexuality imaginary of the initial years teachersof the basic education - our current subject of inquiry -, we opt to Thematic Verbal Historyas metodological instrument, for considering it a possibility of interlacing the orality withthe writing, for in there´s distinct values. In elapsing of the work with collaborators verbalhistories, for the process of understanding of the narratives we perceived the requirementof the theoretical apprehension of the experience concepts, memory and narrative, whichgain meaning from the dialogue with Walter Benjamin. We identified, also with theteacher´s interviews, the difficulty to interchange experiences, what, according to this sametheoretician, can be the result of the new form of work organization in the moderncapitalism, of the workers´ specialization in specific functions, the division in differentplaces and spaces, of the acceleration of the productive process, aspects that unchain theindividual, solitary experiences, and of its symbolic death. With base in these references, theteacher´s lines - collaborators of the research that originated these initial theoreticalreflections - will be considered as narratives full of lived experiences, socialization oftraditions, sensibility, images, individual histories constructed in collective history, ofpeople located in one determined place and is about this place they talk, they feel, theyrecollect, they mean and re-mean.

Na tentativa de apreender o substrato do imaginário da sexualidade dosprofessores dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental - nosso atual tema de investigação –,optamos pela História Oral Temática como instrumento metodológico, por considerá-lauma possibilidade de entrecruzamento da oralidade com a escrita, sendo que entre ambashá valores distintos. No transcorrer do trabalho com as histórias orais dos colaboradores, para o processo de compreensão das narrativas percebemos a exigência da apreensãoteórica dos conceitos de experiência, memória e narrativa, os quais ganham significado apartir do diálogo com Walter Benjamin. Identificamos, também com as entrevistas dosprofessores, a dificuldade de intercambiar experiências, o que, segundo esse mesmoteórico, pode ser o resultado da nova forma de organização do trabalho no capitalismomoderno, da especialização dos trabalhadores em funções específicas, da divisão em lugarese espaços diferentes, da aceleração do processo produtivo, aspectos esses desencadeadoresde experiências individuais, solitárias, e da sua morte simbólica.
