Vocational reguidance: Experience report of vocational guidance with High School students of teaching practices

Resumo: Professional guidance programs reach their proposal when they are able to lead individuals to analyze their features and explore aspects of their personality that might influence on the choice process. A program of professional guidance was performed with a group of nine High School students from the fourth grade of teaching practice from a private school in Rio Grande do Sul. This project had the focus on a rather unexplored audience and indicates the importance of practices designed to this group. Through some discussions, it was aimed to arouse students’ interest in professional guidance and reguidance. There were six meetings, in order to discuss subjects such as questions, choices, occupations and family. With this study, it was evidenced that students have some doubts about the inclusion in professional market and also about college, which means a reevaluation of their first professional choice. The project experience was seen as satisfactory by the participants, since the students reported significant gains in this participation. Key words: professional guidance, high school students, school psychology.Programas de orientação profissional cumprem sua função quando levam indivíduos a analisarem suas características e explorarem aspectos de sua personalidade que possam influenciar no processo de escolha. Foi realizado um programa de orientação profissional com um grupo de nove estudantes do quarto ano do Ensino Normal de uma escola privada do Rio Grande do Sul. Esta intervenção foi destinada a um público pouco explorado por programas de orientação profissional e indica a importância de práticas voltadas a este público. Por meio de discussões, objetivou-se despertar nos alunos o interesse pelo assunto da escolha e re-escolha profissional. Foram realizados seis encontros, abordando temas como dúvidas, escolhas, profissões e família. Evidenciou-se que os alunos possuíam dúvidas quanto à inserção no mercado profissional e/ou quanto a cursar uma faculdade, tendo, assim, que vivenciar um momento de re-escolha profissional. A vivência do projeto foi vista como satisfatória pelos participantes, uma vez que os alunos relataram ganhos significativos com a participação neste.
