Resumo: The aim of this research is to present that religious principles present in the formation of the United States of America (USA) can be observed until today, demonstrating this through the exposure of some beliefs coming from puritan strands of Protestant religions, set in the contemporary scenario with actions that marked the country's history and inaugural Addresses of US presidents through the middle of the twentieth century. It will be briefly demonstrated the religious revolution in Europe that spawned the Reformed religions, including the founding of the United States of America, so that at the end some addresses of the 20th century American presidents are demonstrated and it can be presented if there is still a relationship between the virtues of Puritan Calvinism and the thoughts of the presidents in question.
