CULTO ON-LINE: EXEGESE DA PALAVRA, EXEGESE DO MUNDO

O presente artigo visa investigar até que ponto o chamado “culto on-line” pode ser considerado um ajuntamento eclesial real. A relevância do tema se verifica pelo crescimento da presença da igreja na internet em resposta ao isolamento social ocasionado pela pandemia da Covid-19. Antes possível para poucas igrejas, a transmissão de cultos pelas redes sociais tornou-se, em questão de semanas, uma ação generalizada, mas não sem gerar dúvidas e desconfortos. Reconhecendo ser cedo demais para conclusões definitivas, o artigo aborda a questão da validade desses “cultos on-line” a partir de uma exegese da Palavra e de uma exegese do mundo, caminhos necessários para uma boa hermenêutica, consoante sugerido por Grant Osborne em seu clássico A espiral hermenêutica. A primeira parte se ocupará de responder a pergunta: “Por que a igreja deve reunir-se?” Em seguida, abordará a exegese da cultura, apontando traços do universo tecnológico em desenvolvimento, com atenção especial à relação entre o virtual e o real sob um viés antropológico. Por fim, buscará fixar limites para uma compreensão bíblica e culturalmente acurada do fenômeno. Palavras-chave: Culto on-line. Culto cristão. Eclesiologia. Exegese do mundo.ONLINE WORSHIP SERVICE: EXEGESIS OF THE WORD, EXEGESIS OF THE WORLD Abstract: This article aims to investigate the extent to which the so-called “online worship service” can be considered to be a real church gathering. The relevance of the matter comes from the ongoing growth of church’s presence on the Internet due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This presence has increased mightily in the past weeks and has raised certain doubts and discomforts. Recognizing it is too early for definitive conclusions, this article addresses the question of whether or not “online services” are valid as real church worship services. It will do so based on an exegesis of the Word and an exegesis of the world, like suggested by Grant Osborne in his classic book The Hermeneutic Spiral. The first part of the article will approach the question: “Why should the church gather?” Then, it will develop an exegesis of the culture by the means of presenting features of the technological development, especially regarding the relation between the “virtual” and the “real” under an anthropological perspective. Finally, it will propose some limits for a biblical and culturally accurate understanding of the phenomenon. Keywords: Online worship service. Christian worship service. Ecclesiology.
