Resumo: Introduction: Social distancing may have influenced the physical activity levels (PAL) and sedentary behavior (CS) during the CoViD-19 pandemic, including Physical Education students. Objective: To evaluate PAL and CS time from January to April 2021 and to examine the presence of cardiometabolic risk factors for CoViD-19 in Physical Education students at UFJF-GV, during the new Coronavirus pandemic. Methods: Socio-demographic data, time on CS (Sedentary Behavior Questionnaire) and NAF (short version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire) were collected. Comparison between participants (women vs. men) was performed using the Mann-Whitney test, Chi-square or Fisher's exact test, and p ≤ 0.05 was considered significant. Results: Of the 183 students enrolled in the course, 102 responses were obtained, 62 (60.8%) men, median age of 22 years and 6th graduation period (1st – 9th). One student (1%) reported being diabetic, two (1.9%) hypertensive and four (3.9%) dyslipidemic. The sample's median weekly CS time was 1,253 minutes, highlighting the time (2 to 6 hours/day) using computers and cell phones in 79 (77.4%) and 93 (91.1%) students, respectively. Still, 70 (68.6%) participants were classified as physically active. Even those classified as physically active had a high CS time. Conclusion: The results of this work indicate that, during the pandemic, even though Physical Education students are physically active, CS time is high.
