Summary: This article aims to establish a general overview of the religious feast of St. Benedict, organized by former descendants of Barranco of the quilombo slaves in Manaus. It is understood that the cultural environment provided for in Art. 216 of the Brazilian Federal Constitution of 1988, which protects the Brazilian cultural heritage formed by material goods and immaterial nature, taken individually or together. The methodology used is the literature of qualitative nature, using the doctrine, legislation and official documents, as well as on-site research, to analyze how to proceed the festival.

Entende-se que o meio ambiente cultural, previsto no Art. 216 da Constituição Federal Brasileira de 1988, que tutela o patrimônio cultural brasileiro formado pelos bens de natureza material e imaterial, tomados individualmente ou em conjunto.
