Resumo: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of nitrogen levels (0, 150 and 300 kg/ha) on black oats (Avena strigosa) plus italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum) mixture, grazed by beef cattle. It was sowed 75 kg/ha of black oats plus 30 kg/ha of italian ryegrass. A complete randomized block design, with three replicates was used. Dry mater (DM) production showed a linear relation with N levels. DM production was 4,893, 9,327 and 10,905 kg/ha for N0, N150 and N300, respectively. Crude protein (CP) content increased with the N levels, being 13.17, 16.42 and 22.24%, respectively. CP production per ha was 791, 1,501 and 2,370 kg/ha, respectively. In vitro organic matter digestibility was, respectively, 67.64, 70.93 and 72.94% for 0, 150 and 300 kg/ha of N. The results demonstrated that this mixture has a high response potential for N fertilizers.

A semeadura foi realizada a lanço, utilizando-se 75 kg/ha de aveia preta e 30 kg/ha de azevém, e o delineamento experimental foi em blocos ao acaso, com três repetições. A produção de matéria seca (MS) e a taxa de acumulação aumentaram linearmente com o acréscimo das doses de N. As produções de MS foram 4.893, 9.327 e 10.905 kg/ha com 0, 150 e 300 kg/ha de N, respectivamente. Os teores de proteína bruta (PB) da pastagem foram 13,17, 16,42 e 22,24%, a digestibilidade in vitro da matéria orgânica (DIVMO) 67,64, 70,93 e 72,94% e a produção de PB 791, 1501 e 2370 kg/ha com 0, 150 e 300 kg/ha de N, respectivamente.
