RESUMO. Com base na tendência de aumento da área de cultivo de eucalipto no Brasil, cresce também a demanda pela utilização de mudas de qualidade. Mudas de melhor padrão de qualidade apresentam maior sobrevivência no plantio, resultam em melhor crescimento e desenvolvimento, diminuindo a frequência dos tratos culturais de manutenção e garantindo um produto de boa qualidade e menor custo. Uma série de estudos sobre produção de mudas de eucalipto foram realizados em diferentes unidades da Embrapa, cujos resultados têm sido disponibilizados aos diversos públicos interessados em publicações técnico-científicas, atividades de ensino, ações de comunicação e de transferência de tecnologias desenvolvidas por meio de cursos, dias de campo, palestras, matérias jornalísticas, artigos na mídia, orientações de graduação e pós-graduação, organização de eventos técnico-científicos e seminários. Este capítulo reúne as principais pesquisas realizadas e respectivos resultados obtidos para produção de mudas de eucalipto pela Embrapa, juntamente com seus parceiros, durante os 40 anos de sua existência. Objetiva também apresentar as principais publicações disponibilizadas sobre o tema, na forma de artigos técnico-científicos, livros e outros materiais, bem como listar as capacitações efetuadas. ABSTRACT. With the growing trend of increased eucalypt cultivation in Brazil, the demand for high-quality seedlings and plantlets is also increasing. In general, high-quality plants present greater chances of survival in the field and result in better growth and development than lower-quality ones, thus reducing the need for frequent maintenance and ensuring a high-quality product at a reduced cost. Since the establishment of Embrapa, a series of studies on the production of eucalypt seedlings and plantlets have been developed in deferent branches of the company. The results have been made available to various interested audiences through technical-scientific publications, teaching activities, communication and technology transfer developed through courses and field visits, lectures, reports, articles in the media, undergraduate and postgraduate studies, and through the organization of technical-scientific events and seminars. Based on the above, this chapter aims to synthesize and organize the key research conducted and results obtained by Embrapa and its partners on the production of Eucalyptus seedlings and plantlets over the 40 years of the company’s history. It also presents the main publications available on the subject including technical-scientific articles, books and other materials, as well as the training that has been conducted.
