ABSTRACT: Nanotechnology is a pharmaceutical innovation that aims to deliver actives in microemulsin formulation with the ability to release drugs in a modified form, an alternative for cutaneous application. The aim of the study was to characterize a microemulsion containing a dillapiole derivative (EBD) for topical administration. The components of the formulation containing EBD (ME-EBD) were standardized, weighed and homogenized by a shaker board at room temperature. The formulation was analyzed by Zetasizer Nano, for centrifugation a time of 3 hours at 3500 rpm was used, in the temperature range evaluated from -4 oC to 25 oC. Particle diameter (45.1 nm), polydispersion index (0.286), conductivity (0.027 mS/cm) and Zeta potential (-26.4 mV) were obtained. After centrifugation, there were no significant changes in the diameter of the particles, as well as in the alternating ice/thaw cycles. ME-EBD proved to be a stable, single-phase system, O/W interphase, droplets <100 nm. Therefore, the microemulsion containing the dillapiole derivative proved to be an alternative for topical delivery of drugs. |
