Resumo: In order to achieve the real objective in the use of fiberglass posts (GFP), it is necessary to use a cement that promotes sealing and increases retention, contributing to the uniformity of masticatory forces along the long axis of the tooth. To describe, through a literature review, the main cementing agents used in GFP cementation in order to evaluate the quality of material retention and to assist in the professional's clinical decision in several situations, promoting a treatment with longevity. This is a descriptive, exploratory research with a qualitative approach. The following databases were accessed: Medline, Google Scholar, Pubmed, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), in addition to virtual libraries from several HEIs. We selected 20 articles from the literature that were related to the cementation of GFP as well as the characteristics of these cementing agents. Self-adhesive cements become the first choice in the cementation of these intraradicular posts due to their characteristics that favor excellent retention, such as flow, fluidity and intratubular penetration in dentin irregularities.

Sustenere Publishing2023-01-04info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://sustenere.inf.br/index.php/sciresalutis/article/view/728010.6008/CBPC2236-9600.2022.003.0029Scire Salutis; Vol. 12 No. 3 (2022): Scire Salutis - Mai, Jun, Jul 2022; 259-265Scire Salutis; Vol. 12 Núm. 3 (2022): Scire Salutis - Mai, Jun, Jul 2022; 259-265Scire Salutis; v. 12 n. 3 (2022): Scire Salutis - Mai, Jun, Jul 2022; 259-2652236-9600reponame:Scire Salutisinstname:Companhia Brasileira de Produção Científica (CBPC)instacron:ESSporenghttps://sustenere.inf.br/index.php/sciresalutis/article/view/7280/4281https://sustenere.inf.br/index.php/sciresalutis/article/view/7280/4280Copyright (c) 2023 Scire Salutishttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessDias, Pedro Henrique Cabral Simião, Bruno Ricardo Huber 2023-08-03T13:33:12Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/7280Revistahttps://sustenere.co/index.php/sciresalutisONGhttps://sustenere.co/index.php/sciresalutis/oai||carlos@arvore.org.br2236-96002236-9600opendoar:2023-08-03T13:33:12Scire Salutis - Companhia Brasileira de Produção Científica (CBPC)false
