Analyses of Individual and Organizational Competences Associated with Knowledge Management Practice

Resumo: The research analyzed critical aspects of the knowledge management process, based on the analyses of knowledge, abilities and attitudes required to individual knowledge workers and to organizations responsible for the management process. In the present work a characterization of the knowledge management process was developed and information and knowledge workers were defined. Competence concept was discussed and specialists gave opinions about critical competences to knowledge management process. The opinions were organized and analyzed by the Delphi method. The results aggregate value to the management context by discussing an extremely important resource to organizations – knowledge – and because they support its management process. The research identified wide critical aspects that are compatible with current organizational challenges, directing the process management to important themes as: the worker able to create, the organization able to convert individual knowledge into organizational knowledge, knowledge sharing while still tacit, the maximization of organizational knowledge use, information and knowledge generation and preservation, among others important topics to be observed by knowledge workers and by administrators responsible for the knowledge management process.Key-words: Competence. Individual and organizational competence.La investigación realizada analizó los aspectos críticos del proceso de la gestión del conocimiento, a partir del análisis de, conocimientos, idoneidad y actitudes requeridas en los trabajadores del conocimiento y en las organizaciones encargadas de la gestión del proceso. En el presente trabajo se desarrolló una caracterización de proceso de gestión del conocimiento y se calificaron los trabajadores de información y del conocimiento.  Se analizó el concepto de la competencia y los especialistas dieron su parecer sobre las competencias críticas para el proceso de gestión del conocimiento. Las opiniones se organizaron y analizaron mediante el método Delphi. Los resultados obtenidos agregan valor al contexto de la gestión porque tratan sobre un recurso muy importante para las organizaciones – el conocimiento – y porque lo corroboran con su proceso de gestión. La investigación identificó aspectos críticos amplios y compatibles con los actuales desafíos de las organizaciones, orientando la gestión del proceso hacia temas importantes como: el colaborador capaz de crear, la organización capaz de convertir el conocimiento individual en conocimiento organizacional, el conocimiento compartido cuando todavía es tácito, la maximización del uso del conocimiento organizacional, la generación y preservación de informaciones y conocimientos de calidad, entre otros importantes temas que deben observar los trabajadores del conocimiento y los administradores encargados del proceso de gestión del conocimiento.Palabras clave: Competencia. Competencia individual y competencia organizacional.A pesquisa realizada abordou aspectos críticos ao processo de gestão do conhecimento a partir da análise de conhecimentos, habilidades e atitudes requeridas aos indivíduos trabalhadores do conhecimento e às organizações responsáveis pela gestão do processo. No presente trabalho, desenvolveu-se uma caracterização do processo de gestão do conhecimento e conceituaram-se os trabalhadores da informação e do conhecimento. O conceito de competência foi discutido e especialistas no assunto emitiram pareceres sobre competências críticas ao processo de gestão do conhecimento. Os pareceres foram organizados e analisados por intermédio do método Delphi. Os resultados alcançados agregam valor ao contexto da administração por abordarem um recurso extremamente importante às organizações – o conhecimento – e por corroborarem com o seu processo de gestão. A pesquisa identificou aspectos críticos abrangentes e compatíveis com os atuais desafios das organizações, direcionando a gestão do processo a temas importantes como: o colaborador capaz de criar; a organização capaz de converter conhecimento individual em conhecimento organizacional; o compartilhamento do conhecimento enquanto ainda tácito; a maximização do uso do conhecimento organizacional; a geração e preservação de informações e conhecimentos de qualidade entre outros importantes tópicos a serem observados por trabalhadores do conhecimento e por administradores responsáveis pelo processo de gestão do conhecimento.Palavras-chave: Competência.
