Resumo: This article intends to reflect on the history of Labor Justice system in Brazil ¿ a special system that was adopted about sixty years ago -, taking into account the views of its own judges. To do so, we take as main source interviews with labor judges from different parts of the country, attached either to lower or higher courts. Even though in preliminary way, we try to build an account that emphasizes diagnosis and prognostics established by these judges, who, while telling their life stories, also report the institution history, with its difficulties and successes.

Para tanto, elege como fonte privilegiada um conjunto de entrevistas realizado com juízes do trabalho de várias regiões do país, tanto de primeira instância (juízes de vara), como de segunda instância (desembargadores de Tribunais Regionais do Trabalho).
