Summary: A sistematização da tradição oral do povo judeu ocorreu no período medieval por intermédio da elaboração do Talmude. Questões legais e rituais ocultam conceitos filosóficos que precisam ser desvelados. O presente artigo não pretende discutir suas constantes filosóficas, muito menos as leis nele consagradas. O que se pretende analisar é qual o método mais adequado para estudá-lo de forma que suas verdades se revelem. Distanciando-se de métodos meramente estruturalistas e historiográficos, esse artigo busca, assim, uma alternativa no paradigma hermenêutico.

Legal issues and rituals hide philosophical concepts that need to be revealed. This article does not aims to discuss Talmud philosophical contents, much less the laws enshrined in it. The target is to analyze the most suitable method for studying Talmud hidden truths.
