CLINICAL AND EPIDEMIOLOGICAL PROFILE OF USERS OF CAPSI DR JOÃO CASTELO BRANCO OF THE CITY CAMPOS GOYTACAZES, RJ

Resumo: Mental disorders have long been ignored by society and public health policies, it gets worse when it is the children and adolescents mental health, because there is a paucity of epidemiological information about that. OBJECTIVES: As public policy in mental health relatively recent - about ten years and given the paucity of epidemiological studies on the subject , this research aims to delineate the clinical and epidemiological profile of patients accompanied by CAPSi Dr João Castelo Branco in the municipality of Campos Goytacazes in order to contribute to epidemiological data on children and adolescents with mental disorders attended by the municipality and assist the preparation and organization of public policies on mental health to better serve them. METHODS: It is a descriptive, cross-sectional, conducted with data obtained from the medical records of all patients seen in 2014 at the CAPSi in question. RESULTS: Of the 248 records analyzed 66.1% were males; only 7.7% sought the service by spontaneous demand; 48.4% were in semi-intensive treatment regimen; among the main complaints we can highlight the aggression (47.98%), agitation (19.75%), learning disabilities (14.51%). Among the most prevalent diagnosis are the behavioral disorders and emotional disorders (F90-98) corresponding to 40.70% of the diagnoses, followed by mental retardation (F70-79) - 13.06% and pervasive developmental disorders (F84) - 11.55%. CONCLUSIONS: It can be concluded that mental disorders in childhood and youth have a significant prevalence in the population and should be valued the public health policies to meet this demand.

OBJETIVOS: Sendo as políticas públicas em saúde mental relativamente recentes – aproximadamente dez anos e dado a escassez de estudos epidemiológicos sobre o assunto, esta pesquisa teve como meta traçar o perfil clínico-epidemiológico dos pacientes acompanhados pelo CAPSi Dr. João Castelo Branco em Campos dos Goytacazes de forma a contribuir com dados epidemiológicos sobre as crianças e adolescentes portadoras de transtornos mentais atendidas pelo município e auxiliar a elaboração e organização de políticas públicas em saúde mental para melhor atendê- las. MÉTODOS: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, de corte transversal, realizado com dados obtidos dos prontuários de todos os pacientes atendidos no ano de 2014 no dispositivo em questão. RESULTADOS: Dos 248 prontuários analisados 66,1% eram de pacientes do sexo masculino; apenas 7,7% procuraram o serviço por demanda espontânea; 48,4% encontravam-se em regime de tratamento semi-intensivo; dentre as queixas principais podemos destacar a agressividade (47,98%), agitação (19,75%), dificuldade de aprendizado (14,51%). Dentre os diagnósticos mais prevalentes estão os transtornos do comportamento e transtornos emocionais (F90-98) correspondendo a 40,70% dos diagnósticos, seguidos por retardo mental (F70-79) – 13,06% e transtornos globais do desenvolvimento (F84) – 11,55%.
