Resumo: The interest in understanding how Environmental Education (EE) is present in the Ceará Reference Document (DCRC), is due to the fact that this document is the basis for the construction of Ceará school curriculum. Thus, the goal of this research is: ‘Analyze how EE is present in the DCRC’. For this, the documentary analysis of the DCRC was carried out based on the search for the keywords: ‘EE’ and ‘Environmental’, according to Behrend, Cousin and Galiazzi (2018). It was concluded that in the DCRC there is the presence of EE primarily in the disciplines of Science and Geography and there is a naturalist and conservationist approach of EE in the document, except in the integrative (transversal) themes, which present a critical approach.

Así, el objetivo de esta investigación es: "Analizar cómo está presente la EA en el DCRC". Para ello, se realizó el análisis documental del DCRC a partir de la búsqueda de las palabras clave: ‘EA’ y ‘Ambiental’, según Behrend, Cousin y Galiazzi (2018). Se concluyó que en el DCRC hay presencia de EA principalmente en las disciplinas de Ciencia y Geografía y hay un enfoque naturalista y conservacionista de EA en el documento, excepto en los temas integradores (transversales), que presentan un enfoque crítico.O interesse em entender como a Educação Ambiental (EA) está presente no Documento Curricular Referencial do Ceará (DCRC), se deve ao fato de que esse documento é a base para a construção dos currículos escolares do Ceará.
