Resumo: The tribe Vernonieae (Asteraceae) has 21 subtribes, 119 genera and approximately 1000 species, with a pantropical distribution. In Brazil, 55 genera and 437 species are cited, and in the state of Goiás 19 genera and 129 species are reported. The aim of this study is to present the species Vernonieae from Serra Dourada, Goiás, Brazil. The collections were made between January 2009 and December 2012, and the material was deposited at the UFG herbarium. In the study 30 species grouped in 13 genera were found. The most representative genus was Lessingianthus H. Rob. (11 spp.), followed by Chresta Vell. ex DC. and Vernonanthura H. Rob. (3 spp. each). Some species found in the study area have restricted geographical distribution, such as Chresta curumbensis (Philipson) H. Rob., C. speciosa Gardner, Lessingianthus hoveaefolius (Gardner) H. Rob., and L. soderstroemii (H. Rob.) H. Rob. Lessingianthus rigescens (Malme) Dematt. is a new record for the state of Goiás.

No Brasil foram registrados 55 gêneros e 437 espécies e no estado de Goiás, 19 gêneros e 129 espécies. O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar as espécies de Vernonieae ocorrentes na Serra Dourada, Goiás, Brasil. As coletas foram realizadas em diferentes fi tofi sionomias que compõem a Serra Dourada, no período de janeiro de 2009 a dezembro de 2012. Para a área de estudo foram encontradas 30 espécies agrupadas em 13 gêneros. Os mais representativos foram Lessingianthus H. Rob. (11 spp.), Chresta Vell. ex DC. e Vernonanthura H. Rob. (3 spp. cada). Das espécies estudadas algumas possuem distribuição geográfi ca restrita como Chresta curumbensis (Philipson) H. Rob., C. speciosa Gardner, Lessingianthus hoveaefolius (Gardner) H.
