Resumo: Objective: to review the use of clinical simulation as a strategy for training nursing professionals and students to insert a laryngeal mask airway. Method: integrative review, using the PICO strategy, with “p” population: nurses/students, “I” intervention: clinical simulation, “C” and “O” not applied. The filter used for the search was with the descriptors; (nursing) OR (nursing) AND NOT (Nursing students) AND (simulation) OR (simulation) OR (simulacion) AND (Airway handling) OR (Laryngeal masks), there is a need to expand the crossing with the descriptors nursing AND laryngeal mask airway, justified by the need to meet the objective of this review. Results: 836 texts were obtained in the LILACS databases (825) BDENF – Nursing (122), applied filter in main subject – simulation training (45), nursing education (40), teaching (20), patient simulation (19), a result of 99 works was collected leaving the generic search to the objective of study. Filter applied using descriptors “patient simulation” with result of 16 publications in the BDENF databases – Nursing (15), main subject patient simulation (15), nursing students (7) in Portuguese language, last 10 years. Conclusion: It was concluded that the feasibility of teaching airway management using a laryngeal mask airway is highly dependent on clinical simulation given its concept and the situations that require it. However, there is a lack of articles that relate training in the insertion of a laryngeal mask airway through realistic simulation in Portuguese.

Specialized Dentistry Group2023-07-31info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/37310.36557/2674-8169.2023v5n4p58-77Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 No. 4 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 58-77Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 Núm. 4 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 58-77Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 5 n. 4 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 58-772674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/373/450Copyright (c) 2023 Renan Diego Boletti Silva, Maria Gorete Nicolette Pereira, Kelen Mitie Wakassugui de Rocco, Thaisa Mariela Nascimento de Oliveira, Eleine Aparecida Penha Martinshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSilva, Renan Diego BolettiPereira, Maria Gorete Nicolettede Rocco, Kelen Mitie Wakassuguide Oliveira, Thaisa Mariela NascimentoMartins, Eleine Aparecida Penha2023-07-31T20:18:42Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/373Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2023-07-31T20:18:42Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false
