Resumo: Futsal has increased its number of supporters and its expansion as a modality around the world, however, in the year 2020, it was affected by the Pandemic of COVID-19, which presented modifications in the world context, causing many companies and employees of the futsal, close their doors. This impact generated a change in the modality's growth rate. The present study aimed to investigate the impact of COVID-19 on Futsal Gaúcho, the records for the seasons 2016 to 2020 were investigated in the Liga Gaúcha and Federação Gaúcha de Futsal. The study was approved by CEP under registration nº 4,370,002. The modality showed a constant growth, both in the number of teams and participants, however, the 2020 season was marked by a substantial reduction of 65% in the number of teams and 70% in the participation of athletes, both in the male and female suit., with the biggest reduction indicators in the categories: Bronze series, Sub 17, 15, 13, 11 and 09, demonstrating that the restrictions imposed by the decrees reached considerably the modality.

Este impacto generó un cambio en el ritmo de crecimiento de la modalidad. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo investigar el impacto del COVID-19 en el Futsal Gaucho, los registros fueron investigados en las temporadas de 2016 a 2020 en la Liga Gaúcha y la Federación Gaúcha de Futsal. El estudio fue aprobado por el CEP bajo el registro N° 4.370.002. La modalidad mostró un crecimiento constante, tanto en número de equipos como de participantes, sin embargo, la temporada 2020 estuvo marcada por una reducción sustancial del 65% en el número de equipos y del 70% en la participación de atletas, tanto en la modalidad masculina como femenina. ., con los mayores indicadores de descenso en las categorías: Bronce, Sub 17, 15, 13, 11 y 09 series, demostrando que las restricciones impuestas por los decretos alcanzaron considerablemente a la modalidad.Il futsal ha aumentato il numero di fan e la sua espansione come sport in tutto il mondo, tuttavia, l'anno 2020 è stato colpito dalla pandemia COVID-19, che ha presentato cambiamenti nel contesto globale, causando la chiusura di molte aziende e dipendenti di futsal. Questo impatto ha generato un cambiamento nel tasso di crescita della modalità. Il presente studio mirava a indagare sull'impatto di COVID-19 sul Futsal Gaucho, i record sono stati studiati nelle stagioni dal 2016 al 2020 nella Gaúcha League e nella Gaúcha Futsal Federation. Lo studio è stato approvato dal CEP con la registrazione n. 4.370.002.
