Summary: The practice of futsal is one of the biggest sporting expressions of the northeast of the Rio Grande do Sul. The aim of the study was to draw the profile and social and sports characteristics of the futsal competitive amateur athletes from the northeastern region of Rio Grande do Sul, providing subsidies for managers and leaders of indoor soccer regional plan their actions. 448 futsal athletes participated in this study from the major league city of the cities of northeastern Rio Grande do Sul. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire with 14 closed questions. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics and the chi-square test. After analyzing the results, the study concluded that most athletes are young, workers of the industrial sector, that passed by the base categories and futsal schools of the cities in the region. The research shows that athletes do not receive any pay to play and do not used to practicing other physical activity in addition to futsal.

El objetivo del estudio fue rastrear el perfil y las características sociodeportivas de los atletas de fútbol sala aficionados competitivos en la región noreste de Rio Grande do Sul, proporcionando subsidios para que los gerentes y directores de fútbol sala de la región planifiquen sus acciones. Un total de 448 atletas de futsal participaron de la investigación, de los principales campeonatos municipales, del traje masculino, de ciudades del nordeste de Rio Grande do Sul. El instrumento utilizado para la recolección de datos fue un cuestionario con 14 preguntas cerradas. El análisis de datos se realizó mediante estadística descriptiva y la prueba de chi-cuadrado. Tras analizar los resultados, el estudio concluyó que la mayoría de los deportistas son jóvenes, con paso por las categorías básicas y escuelas de futsal de las ciudades de la región y no reciben ningún tipo de pago por jugar y que no suelen practicar ninguna otra actividad física. además del fútbol sala.La pratica del futsal è uno dei più grandi eventi sportivi nella regione nord-orientale del Rio Grande do Sul. L'obiettivo dello studio era tracciare il profilo sociale e sportivo e le caratteristiche degli atleti di futsal amatoriali competitivi nella regione nord-orientale del Rio Grande do Sul, fornendo sussidi ai dirigenti e direttori di futsal della regione per pianificare le loro azioni. Un totale di 448 atleti di futsal hanno partecipato alla ricerca, dai principali campionati cittadini, della tuta maschile, dalle città del nord-est del Rio Grande do Sul. Lo strumento utilizzato per la raccolta dei dati è stato un questionario con 14 domande chiuse. L'analisi dei dati è stata eseguita utilizzando la statistica descrittiva e il test del chi quadrato. Dopo aver analizzato i risultati, lo studio ha concluso che la maggior parte degli atleti è giovane, con passaggi nelle categorie base e nelle scuole di futsal nelle città della regione e non percepisce alcun tipo di compenso per giocare e che solitamente non pratica nessun'altra attività fisica oltre al futsal.A prática do futsal é uma das maiores manifestações esportivas da região nordeste do Rio Grande do Sul.
