State of humor in female futsal athletes

Resumo: This cross-sectional study aimed to assess the mood of female futsal athletes participating in the 2016 Brazilian University Games. A total of 114 athletes with a mean age of 22.07 (sd=3.14) years participated in the study. The instruments used were the Brunel Mood Scale - BRUMS and a sociodemographic questionnaire. The analyzes were performed using the Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney “U” and Spearman correlation tests (p<0.05). The results showed that the athletes who, depending on the number of physical training sessions per week, found a significant difference between the groups in the mood states of anger (p=0.041) and fatigue (p=0.012). Regarding the number of tactical training sessions per week, a significant difference was found between the groups in the mood states of anger (p=0.005), confusion (p=0.003), depression (p=0.044), fatigue (p=0.004) and vigor (p=0.002). When comparing the futsal athletes' mood state as a function of receiving financial support, there was a significant difference between the groups only in the state of vigor mood (p=0.005). Significant and negative correlations were identified between relationship with teammates with anger (r=0.30) and depression (r=-0.22) and positive correlations between relationship with teammates and relationship with coach (r=0.52). It is concluded that the futsal athletes presented high scores for the mood states of vigor and fatigue during the Brazilian University Games.

Os instrumentos utilizados foram Escala de Humor de Brunel - BRUMS e um questionário sociodemográficos. As análises foram realizadas pelos testes Kruskal-Wallis, “U” de Mann-Whitney e correlação de Spearman (p<0,05). Os resultados evidenciaram que as atletas que em função do número de treinos físicos por semana foi encontrada diferença significativa entre os grupos nos estados de humor de raiva (p=0,041) e fadiga (p=0,012). Em relação ao número de treinos táticos por semana foi encontrada diferença significativa entre os grupos nos estados de humor de raiva (p=0,005), confusão (p=0,003), depressão (p=0,044), fadiga (p=0,004) e vigor (p=0,002). Na comparação do estado de humor das atletas de futsal em função do recebimento de apoio financeiro verificou-se diferença significativa entre os grupos somente no estado de humor de vigor (p=0,005). Foram identificadas correlações significantes e negativas entre relacionamento com as companheiras de equipe com raiva (r=-0,30) e depressão (r=0,22) e correlações positivas entre relacionamento com as companheiras de equipe e relacionamento com o técnico (r=0,52).
