This paper aims to contribute to the further deepening theoretical about the diet treatments post Gastric Bypass. This study is based on a literature review, scientific journals, books official sites, between the years 2001 and 2008.The frustrations from the unsuccessful obesity treatments have made a lot of patients to opt for surgical treatment. The bariatric surgery can be classified as restrictive, mal absorptive and mixed. The surgery of the Fobi-Capella or gastric bypass in Y-Roux is the most performed mixed surgery in the world and it is based on the creation of a small reservoir, surrounded by a ring of contention avoiding the extension of the neo-tank and regulating the gastric emptying of solid. However, the post surgery often leads to undesirable nutritional consequences that require nutritional support, including the nutritional supplements administration. Such consequences as beriberi, protein-energy malnutrition, deficiency of fat soluble vitamins and others become from the inactivation of the small intestine. There is not enough studies about the diet treatments around this subject.
